We are quite amazing.
Not just Lauren and I (although, I
dare say we top the cake); we are ALL amazing--us humans!
I mean think about
it: the universe is billions of years old. We have been around approximately
only 2.5 million years of those billions.
In that time we have become
intelligent beings capable of an array of multifaceted body movements, flying,
floating, diving, moving at ridiculously fast speeds, and utilizing multiple
natural resources to make living on our planet more comfortable.
We have speculated
alternate universes, heavens and hells, discovered mathematical truths, found
particles too small for any living naked eye to see, and mostly conquered the
wrath of nature.
We are nothing short of amazing. And it is all in our heads...
What
I mean is, it starts in our heads.
Thought is where it all begins.
Without the
ability to think, where would we be?
Descartes declares “I think, therefore I
am.”
Thoughts color perception, thus allowing them to control our everyday
activities and in many cases persuading outcomes. Thoughts in Mind are the power
behind creation.
The Christian Bible recognizes this truth and expands on it by declaring, “In the
beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”
(John1:1).
Thoughts precede words.
The first line of the Buddhist
Dhammapada, in recognizing this truth, states, “All we are is the result of what
we have thought.”
So, be careful what you think…Don’t ever forget how amazing
we are
and how incredible it is to be here
as a witness to the present.
Get
motivated.
What could be more motivating than contemplation on creation?
Get
outside. Create your life. Do something amazing today, for YOU are amazing!
